Purge Settings

Configure how purge operations are processed across Medianova CDN.

You can configure purge behavior for your CDN Resource in the Admin section of the Medianova Control Panel.

These settings define which purge module is used when clearing cached content from Medianova edge servers.

Access Purge Settings

1

Go to CDN → CDN Resources and select a resource.

2

Click the Admin tab.

3

Locate the Purge Module Type dropdown.

Purge Module Type

Option
Description
Recommended Use

Default

Uses the standard purge system integrated into Medianova CDN. Provides full compatibility with API and Panel operations.

Default for most use cases

NodeJS

Enables Node.js-based purge module for faster processing and higher concurrency in specific environments.

Use only when directed by support

Switching purge modules affects how purge requests are distributed to edge servers. Always confirm compatibility before changing the module type.

Purge Logs and Results

After changing the purge module, purge actions continue to appear under the Purge tab of your resource. Each operation is logged with a unique Task ID.

Click a task in the Purge Log table to expand its detailed results, including server responses and status codes.

Best Practices

  • Keep the Default purge module unless instructed otherwise.

  • Always verify purge success in the Purge Log after module changes.

  • Use NodeJS module only for resources with very high purge frequency.

  • Avoid switching modules during active large-scale purge operations.
