How to Create Live Streaming CDN Resource?

Live Streaming CDN Resource provides real-time streaming of live events, satellite broadcasts and webcasts. It supports HLS, MPEG-DASH and Smooth Streaming protocols.

How to Create a Live Streaming CDN Resource?

  1. You can access the Medianova cloud panel by logging in with your username and password at cloud.medianova.com.

  2.  Click on the “CDN → Create CDN Resource” option on the menu on the left of the panel screen that will open after logging in.‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏

  1. In the next screen, Small CDN Resource is selected from the “Start building your CDN” field.‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏

  1. Fill in the requested information for Live Streaming CDN Resource.

a. CDN Resource Name: It is the name of the CDN Resource to be created. The name specified here will be used in the CDN URL.

b. Source of Your Files (when My Origin is selected):  

  • My Origin: Select this option if your CDN Resource will use Origin Pull method.

  • Origin URL: In this field, the origin URL from which the content will be extracted is specified. (http(s)://www.example.com).

  • CDN Resource Label: In this field, a label describing your CDN Resource is entered.

c. Source of Your Files (when RTMP Push is selected):  

  • RTMP Push:  RTMP broadcasts are served by HTTP ORIGIN PULL method by copying RTMP PUSH from user encoders such as Wirecast, Flash Live Encoder, OBS to Medianova servers or broadcasts available on user servers via HTTP to Medianova servers. Select this option according to your needs.

  • RTMP Username: Set an RTMP username to upload your content.

  • RTMP Password: Set an RTMP password to upload your content.

  • CDN Resource Label: In this field, a label describing your CDN Resource is entered.


‏‏‏‏‏‏‏‏5. When all the information is filled in properly, the Live Streaming CDN Resource is created by clicking the “Create CDN Resource” button.
