Access & Management
Learn how to manage dashboard accounts, IP access restrictions, workspace status, storage usage, and source lifecycle in Edgesight Analytics.
Access & Management controls access to your Edgesight Analytics workspace and provides workspace-level management options.
Dashboard access is controlled through dashboard accounts and an optional IP whitelist. Both are managed from the Analytics screen in the Medianova Control Panel.
Dashboard Accounts
Access to the Grafana workspace requires a dashboard account. Dashboard accounts are created specifically for Edgesight Analytics and are not automatically created for members of your Medianova organization.
The first account is created during workspace setup. Additional accounts can be managed from the Users section.
Add user
Creates a dashboard account with a username, email address, and password.
Change password
Sets a new password for an existing dashboard account.
Delete
Removes the account and prevents the user from signing in.
All dashboard accounts have read-only access. Users can:
Open all dashboards in the workspace.
Change the dashboard time range.
Apply dashboard filters.
Export data from dashboard panels.

Dashboard accounts cannot edit panels, modify queries, create dashboards, or receive editing permissions.
IP Whitelist
The IP Whitelist restricts network access to the entire Edgesight Analytics workspace.
You can add:
Individual IP addresses.
CIDR ranges.
When the whitelist contains entries, only requests originating from the configured addresses or networks can reach the workspace login page.
If the whitelist is empty, the workspace can be reached from any network, but dashboard authentication is still required.
For example:
203.0.113.0/24
IP whitelist settings can be changed from the Analytics screen and take effect immediately.
Before enabling a restrictive IP whitelist, include the IP address or CIDR range of the network you are currently using. Otherwise, you may lose access to the workspace.
Analytics Workspace Information
The Analytics screen in the Medianova Control Panel provides workspace status, storage usage, and access information.

Traffic analysis is performed in Grafana. The Analytics screen is used to manage and monitor the state of the workspace.
Information
Displays the workspace name, dashboard address, status, and storage region.
IP Whitelist
Displays the currently configured access restrictions or indicates that network access is unrestricted.
Usage Summary
Displays the amount of data stored by the workspace for the selected period.
Dashboards
Displays storage usage for individual dashboards.
Users
Lists the dashboard accounts that can access the workspace.
A health indicator next to the workspace name shows whether the workspace is available and reports its response time.
Stop and Start a Workspace
You can temporarily stop an Edgesight Analytics workspace without deleting its stored data.
When a workspace is stopped:
Grafana dashboards become unavailable.
Stored analytics data is retained.
The workspace can be made available again using Start.
Use Stop when you need to temporarily disable the workspace without removing its configuration and stored data.
Delete a Source
Deleting a source removes the source and the associated resources, including its stored analytics data.
The Medianova Control Panel requires confirmation before deletion.
Deleting a source is irreversible. Stored data associated with the deleted source cannot be recovered. Use Stop instead if you only need to temporarily disable the workspace.
Deleting a source also releases the source slot used by that connection. You can then connect another CDN source without changing your current plan.
