Access Controls and Authentication

Access Controls and Authentication form the cornerstone of information security. These crucial concepts provide protection against unauthorized access, securing sensitive data and systems.

Access Controls and Authentication play a critical role in the security of information systems, helping organizations build robust defense mechanisms against cyber threats.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) allows user account owners to add an additional layer of login security to Medianova accounts. This additional authentication step requires you to provide both something you know, such as a Medianova password, and something you have, such as an authentication code from a mobile device.

We recommend that all Medianova Cloud user account holders enable 2FA to keep their accounts secure.

To enable two-factor authentication for your Medianova Cloud login:

  1. Log in to the Medianova Cloud panel.

  2. Under the My Profile dropdown, select My Account.

  3. Select the Account Security tab.

  4. Enable the 2FA button.

You can create an API Token in the Cloud Panel. This will provide API credentials for the usage of the API. The validity period of the api key and refresh token is 30 days, validity period of Access token is 4 hours.

It is not possible to request secured content without a valid (non-expired) hash from the CDN resource. After the expiration time, the links are unavailable, and new ones must be generated in order to request the secured content again.

  1. Log in to the Medianova Cloud panel.

  2. Under the My Profile dropdown, select My Account.

  3. Select the API Tokens tab.

  4. Click on the Generate Token button.

  5. The panel gives you an API Key and API Secret.

Medianova users have roles and authorizations in place to manage their access. By managing user roles and permissions in the Medianova Cloud panel, you can enhance intra-business efficiency. This allows each user to access the necessary resources smoothly and quickly.

These roles include:

Super Admin: This user has the highest privilege and can perform any activities on your account, including creating / deleting users, enabling / disabling CDN Resources, managing settings & operations such as purge on your CDN Resources, purchasing product plans.

Operator: This user has technical privileges, including creating / deleting users, enabling / disabling CDN Resources, managing settings & operations such as purge on your CDN Resources.

Billing: This user has billing administrator privileges such as purchasing product plans.

Viewer: This role has read-only access to CDN resources and organization information.
